A scuffle broke out between a woman and a landlord in Outer Delhi’s Mangolpuri area over a momo cart and the latter was arrested, police said Wednesday.

DCP (Outer) Harendra Singh said the incident took place on July 16. Kiran, a tenant of Ajay Bhatia, received seven to eight simple bruises in the attack. She was taken to the Sanjay Gandhi Hospital.

“The scuffle took place between the tenant lady and the landlord over the placing of a momo cart in the area…the woman ran a momo stall which was rented to her by the landlord and there was a scuffle between them over the cart’s rent,” said the DCP.

He said action was taken under Indian Penal Code section 323 (voluntarily causing hurt) against Bhatia.
