Citybriefs: DUTA seeks new HRD minister’s help

The Delhi University Teachers’ Association on Sunday appealed to the newly-inducted Union HRD Minister M M Pallam Raju to turn his attention to its concerns as its relay hunger strike against the university administration completed 19 days.

The Delhi University Teachers’ Association (DUTA) on Sunday appealed to the newly-inducted Union HRD Minister M M Pallam Raju to turn his attention to its concerns as its relay hunger strike against the university administration completed 19 days. The teachers,who have continued with their protest over the Dussehra and Eid vacations,have been demanding a greater say in the reforms introduced in the university and the vice-chancellor to be more democratic. DUTA president Amar Deo Sharma appealed to Raju “to immediately intervene”.
