Union Minister Piyush Goyal on Sunday trained guns on the DMK government in Tamil Nadu, alleging that it was involved in corruption and ignored the development of the poor. The Minister of Commerce and Industry, Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution said the DMK was ‘so scared’ of the Centre that it was not even allowing to affix the photograph of Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the central government schemes being implemented in the state.

Chief Minister MK Stalin, in a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, said that the number of people speaking languages other than Hindi is more than Hindi speaking people in the Indian subcontinent. He said, “I’m sure you’d appreciate that every language has its own speciality with its uniqueness and linguistic culture.” He added that the recent attempts to impose Hindi are impractical & divisive in character and puts non-Hindi-speaking people in a disadvantageous position in many respects.
