The Shivalik Public School, Mohali, Thursday celebrated its annual function “Wings of Change – 2025” with zeal and splendour, showcasing the vibrant spirit of transformation, creativity, and growth among students.
The celebration began with the soulful school shabad and a floral welcome, followed by the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by chief guest Dr Gurkiranjeet Nalwa, principal, Shivalik Public School, Chandigarh. Vice-principal Dr Teena Chopra presented the annual report, highlighting the institution’s academic and co-curricular milestones.
The graceful Saraswati Vandana invocation dance set a divine tone, seeking the blessings of the Goddess of Knowledge.
The cultural performances beautifully mirrored the theme of change and evolution. The dramatic presentation, “The Flight Within”, portrayed a journey of self-discovery and inner transformation, while the fashion show “Threads Through Time – From Retro to Modern” took the audience through the evolution of fashion from the 70s to the modern era. Energetic songs, dances, and skits on unity, digital progress, and women empowerment added colour and meaning to the evening.
The prize distribution ceremony honoured students for their outstanding achievements in academics and extracurricular activities. Principal Dr Anupkiran Kaur praised the collective efforts of students and teachers while the chief guest encouraged students to “embrace positive change with confidence and creativity”.
The event concluded with a grand finale, symbolising growth, innovation, and new beginnings — capturing the essence of the function.
