Three held by CIA staff for cases of burglary

The Criminal Investigation Authority arrested three men on Thursday night from Old Panchkula for their alleged involvement in various incidences of burglary in the area.

The Criminal Investigation Authority (CIA) arrested three men on Thursday night from Old Panchkula for their alleged involvement in various incidences of burglary in the area.

Khagarh Mangoli residents Lakhan,Sanjay and Saudagar,all in their early twenties,were arrested under Section 379 of the Indian Penal Code,and were produced in court on Friday and remanded to police custody till July 1.

According to CIA officer Karamveer Singh,“A raid was conducted based on information from secret sources that the men had stolen three gas cylinders from a house in Old Panchkula”.

Singh said many cases of burglary in the area could be solved after the arrests. He also added that interrogation was going on and more people could be involved in the crime.
