Spl train to ply in summer between city and Varanasi

The train will ply thrice a week and make a total of 12 trips.

A special train will now ply between Chandigarh and Varanasi from June 3 to June 29,in order to cater to the rush that occurs during summers. The train will ply thrice a week and make a total of 12 trips.

The Chandigarh-Varanasi Express (04506) will depart from Chandigarh on Mondays,Thursdays and Saturdays at 11.15 pm and reach Varanasi the next day at 5.30 pm. On the return journey,the train (04505) will depart from Varanasi at 9.10 pm on Tuesdays,Fridays and Sundays and reach Chandigarh the next day at 2.30 pm.

The train consists of Sleeper Class,seven General Second Class coaches and two brake-cum-luggage vans. It will stop at Ambala Cantt,Jagadhari,Saharanpur,Moradabad,Bareilly,Lucknow and Sultanpur stations enroute in both directions.

During summers the passenger traffic increases substantially.
