The seven-day National Service Scheme (NSS) camp organised by the NSS Department of Rayat Bahra University concluded on Thursday.
The camp, conducted under the supervision of NSS Director (Major) AS Chahal, witnessed active participation of students and faculty members from various departments.
Aimed to promote community engagement and holistic education, the camp featured a wide range of activities, including cleanliness drives, free medical check-up camps, environmental awareness rallies, plantation drives, sports competitions, and skill development workshops.
Students attended interactive sessions and lectures on disaster management, gender sensitisation, and other pressing social issues.
The valedictory ceremony was presided over by Group Vice-Chancellor Dr Sanjay Kumar, who lauded the efforts of the volunteers and said, “NSS provides an excellent platform to students to connect with society and contribute to nation-building.”
Chancellor Gurvinder Singh Bahra also praised the spirit of service shown by the participants and highlighted the impactful initiatives of the NSS unit.
