Deputy Commissioner-cum-District Magistrate Komal Mittal Sunday announced that all schools in the district, closed since August 27 due to flooding, will resume classes from September 9.

She directed school heads to call staff on September 8 for thorough cleaning, fogging, and sanitisation, seeking help from local bodies if needed. Schools must conduct building safety inspections. Any unsafe structures should be reported immediately for official structural safety checks. Only structurally safe schools will reopen.
