Himachal BJP chief’s poll today, result tomorrow

Sharing the election schedule, Bhardwaj said, “Nominations for the post of party president will be filed between 12 pm and 3 pm at the party headquarters, Deep Kamal, in Chakkar, Shimla. Scrutiny of nominations will take place from 2 pm to 3 pm, and if there are multiple nominations, withdrawal will be allowed between 3 pm and 5 pm.”

BJP election officer in Himachal Pradesh and Kangra MP Rajeev Bhardwaj on Sunday announced that the election for the party’s state president would be held on June 30 and the result would be declared on July 1.

Dr Rajeev Bindal is the incumbent BJP state president, whose term officially ended earlier, but was allowed to continue in the position.

Sharing the election schedule, Bhardwaj said, “Nominations for the post of party president will be filed between 12 pm and 3 pm at the party headquarters, Deep Kamal, in Chakkar, Shimla. Scrutiny of nominations will take place from 2 pm to 3 pm, and if there are multiple nominations, withdrawal will be allowed between 3 pm and 5 pm.” He said, “Union Minister Dr Jitendra Singh will announce the result at 11 am on July 1 in Shimla.”

Jitendra Singh is in charge of the BJP’s affairs in Himachal Pradesh. “Elections have already been held across 8,000 booths, 171 mandals and 17 districts in Himachal Pradesh. A total of 114 delegates from the electorate will choose both the state BJP president and National Council members. Notifications for the election, including the detailed schedule and final voter list, have already been published at the BJP headquarters,” Bhardwaj said.
