The cases of Covid-19 infections are once again rising across Haryana with the daily positivity rate having crossed 5.54 per cent-mark on Sunday evening. While the recovery rate was 98.92%, the fatality rate was at 1.01%. The Covid-19 bulletin released on Sunday evening mentioned 724 as the total active Covid-19 patients in the state till now. These include new 203 Covid positive cases detected on Sunday out of the total 4,758 samples tested on Sunday.
The total number of samples found positive till date was 10,58,007, while the total number of positive Covid-19 patients recovered/discharged till date was 10,46,545. So far, 10,715 patients have died of Covid-19 in Haryana. On Sunday, Gurgaon had a maximum of 99 positive cases with number of active cases at 411; followed by Faridabad (30 positive cases) and (107 active cases); Panchkula (24 positive cases) and (57 active cases); Yamunanagar (13 positive cases) and (32 active cases); Jind (11 positive cases) and (11 active cases); Karnal (9 positive cases) and (27 active cases); Ambala (7 positive cases) and (24 active cases); Sirsa (4 positive cases) and (5 active cases). On Sunday, Mahendragarh, Rewari, Fatehabad, Charkhi Dadri, Nuh, and Bhiwani districts had zero positive and active cases.
To check the state’s health infrastructure preparedness and to curtail the further spread of the deadly viral infection, state’s Home Minister Anil Vij has called a meeting of senior officials of the health department on Monday.
Talking to the media persons, Vij said that the state government was keeping a constant watch on the number of Covid-19 cases across the state.
“I have called a meeting of the officials of state health department on Monday afternoon. In that meeting, we will deliberate on the state’s preparedness and the ongoing situation of the Covid-19 cases. After that, we will formulate our future strategy. As far as the health infrastructure in Haryana is concerned, it is up to the mark to tackle any exigency,” Vij added.
Meanwhile, on Saturday, the daily Covid positivity rate had touched 3.98 per cent. While the recovery rate on Saturday was 98.93%, the fatality rate was 1.01%.
According to the state’s Covid-19 bulletin released on Saturday evening, the total number of positive cases detected on Saturday was 142 out of the 3,730 samples tested. The total number of active Covid-19 patients was 579.
The total number of samples found positive till Saturday was 10,57,804, while the total number of positive Covid-19 patients recovered/discharged was 10,46,487.
The number of deaths till Saturday stood at 10,715 – there was no change in the figure on Sunday.
On Saturday, Gurgaon had a maximum of 99 positive cases with number of active cases at 358; followed by Faridabad (19 positive cases) and (85 active cases); Panchkula (9 positive cases) and (33 active cases); Karnal (5 positive cases) and (18 active cases); Jhajjar (4 positive cases) and (7 active cases); Hisar (2 positive cases) and (4 active cases); Ambala (2 postive cases) and (17 active cases); Yamunanagar (zero positive cases) and (20 active cases); Jind (1 positive case) and (2 active cases); Sirsa (zero positive case) and (1 active case). On Saturday, Bhiwani, Mahendragarh, Rewari, Fatehabad, Charkhi Dadri, and Nuh districts recorded zero positive and active cases.
According to Saturday’s Covid-19 bulletin, all the beds with oxygen facilities in intensive care units (ICU) of both government and private hospitals were unoccupied.
The beds in both government and private hospitals equipped with ventilator facilities were also vacant.
