Guru defaults on penal rent

The UT Administration has also started eviction proceedings against former Principal Secretary to Punjab Chief Minister D S Guru,who has defaulted on the penal rent of his Sector 5 official residence where he has been living even after his retirement.

The UT Administration has also started eviction proceedings against former Principal Secretary to Punjab Chief Minister D S Guru,who has defaulted on the penal rent of his Sector 5 official residence where he has been living even after his retirement. He is paying Rs 70,000 per month as penal rent but did not pay for June,July and August.

Bhattal: Notices but no penal rent

Senior Congress leader and former leader of opposition Rajinder Kaur Bhattal is still occupying her official residence. She was to leave it in March this year after the election results as one can retain it for 15 days only. The General Administration Department has sent her many notices but to no avail. The government has not started charging her the penal rent which is,as per PWD & B&R department,Rs 1.50 lakh per month for this type of house.
