Chandigarh footballers join hands with Delhi Clubs

Chandigarh Football Academy lads Baljinder Singh,Pankaj Negi and Jonny Kumar have completed their move to Royal Rangers Sporting Club-a newly formed club by former India international Carlton Chapman at New Delhi. Another CFA lad Harpreet Singh has signed with Pune FC.

Chandigarh Football Academy lads Baljinder Singh,Pankaj Negi and Jonny Kumar have completed their move to Royal Rangers Sporting Club-a newly formed club by former India international Carlton Chapman at New Delhi. Another CFA lad Harpreet Singh has signed with Pune FC.

Following their footsteps,two more players from Chandigarh Raju and Majid Hassan have joined Hindustan FC in New Delhi. The club which plays in the Delhi Senior Division league,played in the National Football League (now I-League) in the 2004-05 season. Meanwhile,five players from the city have returned back after serving their respective clubs. “These players had left Chandigarh two years back to pursue their dreams because of lack of proper infrastructure and ground. These players have played in Santosh Trophy also,” said Rakesh Bakshi,secretary,Chandigarh Football Association.

After their return from Delhi,these players will now train at Sector 17 Football Stadium.

Neeraj Malik was with Indian National Football Club (INFC) while Bhupinder Gosain,Hansh Patial,Kartik Bhardwaj and Suraj Parkash served Shahdra Football Club.
