One person was injured in a rioting that broke out in the Sarangpur Chakla area in Khadia late on Sunday. Three two-wheelers were set ablaze in the incident,the police said.
Two groups,headed by Ashish Patel and Veeram Rabbari,both residents of Khadia,clashed with each other around 11 pm. Patels brother; Parth (20) was injured in the incident.
Enraged by this,the group led by Patel set on fire three two wheelers belonging to members of the group headed by Rabbari,the police said.
Both Patel and Rabbari later lodged cross-complaints against each other.
Khadia Inspector A B Bhimavat said: Patel says that the incident was a fallout of Rabbari owing him some money,while the latter claims that it was a tiff over a cricket match. We have registered both complaints and are investigating the matter.
