The Vadodara city police said on Monday that a 25-year-old MBA student from Parul University, who was found dead in his rented paying guest (PG) accommodation in Fatehgunj on Saturday, had died of “heart attack”. The post-mortem report ruled out the possibility of unnatural death, police said.

Gatik Dass, a Kashmiri pandit, had been found lying motionless on his bed at his PG accommodation on Saturday, police said. A police team reached the spot after being informed by the landlord. Dass had returned to his room after watching a movie on Friday night, police sources said.

A senior police officer said, “The body was sent to SSG hospital for post-mortem and the report mentions the primary cause of death as heart attack. There is no indication of foul play or unnatural death… The body has been handed over to his father.”
