A four-month old boy was killed in a road accident on the Atladra-Padra road Friday, when a motorcycle crashed into the two-wheeler he was travelling on with his parents, who were injured and are under treatment at a hospital.
Police said on Saturday that CCTV footage shows the impact of the collision was such that the infant was flung several feet in the air and was killed instantly as he fell.

The accident happened past midnight on Friday when Bharat Chauhan, who works as a security guard, was riding on his two-wheeler with his wife Sonal and son Divyansh. Just as Chauhan turned towards a petrol pump on the way, a speeding motorcycle collided with the vehicle. The impact was such that the motorcycle continued to move ahead even after the accused rider had been thrown off due to the collision.

The couple, police said, was travelling to consult a doctor in Vadodara as the infant had been unwell for a few weeks.
The Atladara police registered an FIR of rash and negligent driving as well as culpable homicide not amounting to murder against the rider of the motorcycle that crashed into Chauhan’s two-wheeler.
