Amid a shortage of DAP fertiliser across the country, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLA from Jamjodhpur, Hemant Khava, has demanded that DAP be made available to the farmers for the Rabi season. He claimed that against the demand of 1.45 lakh metric ton, only 45,000 MT was available in Gujarat. In a letter to Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel on Saturday, Khava has asked his government to make DAP available and reduce the availability of nano DAP.

A section of people associated with the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad have frowned at the Diwali celebrations on the campus on social media. The celebrations came to light after the premier institute posted festival photos on its social media handles on Friday night. Questions on the celebration in the wake of the recent suicide of final year PGP MBA student Akshith Bhukya in his hostel room on the new campus. Students, as well as the faculty members, have been demanding from the institute administration to constitute an external committee to inquire the circumstances leading to Bhukya’s suicide.
