EDI’s new centre in Uzbekistan to be inaugurated by PM Narendra Modi

EDI’s new centre in Uzbekistan to be inaugurated by PM Narendra ModiThe Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India (EDI) will be opening a new centre in Uzbekistan which will be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his visit to the Central Asian country in July this year, said Dr Dinesh Awasthi, director of EDI on Saturday.

During his welcome address at EDI’s convocation ceremony, Awasthi also announced that he would be stepping down as the director of the institute and Sunil Shukla will be taking over as the new director from July 1.

While addressing the convocation Hasmukh Adhia, secretary, Union Ministry of Finance described the institute as the “only-one-of-its-kind” in the country that churns out entrepreneurs every year.
