DCB arrests 20-year-old over Bihar murder case

According to police, Yadav has been arrested in connection with the murder of one Amodkumar who was shot dead by two unidentified persons on the road from Khonwas village to Mathiya in Motihari district of Bihar.

Ahmedabad City Detection of Crime Branch (DCB) has arrested a 20-year-old man from Jamalpur area of the city in connection with the murder of a man in Bihar on September 16, an official release from the DCB on Sunday said.

The man has been identified as Gautam Kumar Yadav, a resident of Jamalpur and native of Sitamarhi district of Bihar, who works as a labourer.

As per the DCB release, the Bihar police’s investigation revealed that the deceased’s wife was having an affair with a man and the two had hired a shooter to commit the murder. Following this, officials of Bireya police station came to Ahmedabad and sought help from the local police to nab the accused who allegedly hired the shooter. DCB officials arrested Yadav and began steps to hand him over to Bireya police officials, the release said.
