Hailing the Central government’s efforts, Minister of State for Home Harsh Sanghavi Monday said that as opposed to pre-2014 years where Pakistan flags were being hoisted on August 15, family members of alleged terrorists are unfurling the Tricolour now.

“Today morning, I came across the news that the brother of a top-listed terrorist and his family members in Kashmir had jointly unfurled the Tiranga. We have seen the scenes before 2014 at Lal Chowk area in Kashmir where Pakistan’s national flag was being unfurled by locals. But now the scene has changed as the locals are seen proudly hoisting the Indian national flag,” he said on the sidelines of the Tiranga Yatra in Surat Monday.

“Rayees Mattoo, the brother of most-wanted terrorist Javed Matto was waving the Indian national flag outside his house in Sopore in Jammu & Kashmir,” he told The Indian Express later.
