Set in the backdrop of 1962 war between China and India on the Sino-Indian border, Tubelight directed by Kabir Khan brings forth the story of a simpleton, Laxman Singh Bisht aka Salman Khan's belief in himself and his love for his brother Bharat played by Sohail Khan. The film is an official adaptation of 2015 Hollywood film Little Boy. This is the third time that filmmaker Kabir Khan has joined hands with Salman after Ek Tha Tiger and Bajrangi Bhaijaan. The film also marks the coming together of two Khans, Salman and Shah Rukh Khan almost after fifteen years. Apart from Salman and Sohail, the film has Chinese actor Zhu Zhu, child actor, Matin Rey Tangu and late actor Om Puri in pivotal roles.
