Dharmendra: Bollywood's Enduring 'He-Man' Dharmendra, born Dharmendra Kewal Krishan Deol on December 8, 1935, is a veteran actor, producer, and former politician, celebrated as one of Indian cinema's most iconic figures. His career, spanning over six decades and encompassing more than 200 films, has cemented his status as a Bollywood legend. Initially gaining recognition in the mid-1960s with films like Ayee Milan Ki Bela and Phool Aur Patthar, Dharmendra's charisma and on-screen persona earned him the moniker "He-Man" and later, "Garam Dharam," reflecting his roles. His success continued through the late 1960s and 1980s with hits such as Ankhen, Sholay, and Seeta Aur Geeta. These films showcased his versatility, portraying both romantic leads and powerful characters.
