Aarya, a Disney+ Hotstar crime thriller, marks Sushmita Sen's digital debut and a successful comeback. Co-created by Ram Madhvani and Sandeep Modi, and based on the Dutch series Penoza, it follows Aarya, a woman forced into the mafia to avenge her husband's murder. Initially conceived as a feature film, budgetary and casting issues led to its adaptation as a web series.
