Saudi Bus Accident: Hyderabad Police Commissioner VC Sajjanar confirmed that 45 of 46 pilgrims travelling on a bus from Mecca to Madina died in a Saudi Arabia accident, with only eight others avoiding the tragedy by travelling separately. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar and Union Minister Kiren Rijiju expressed deep shock and condolences, assuring full assistance through Indian missions. The Consulate in Jeddah has set up a 24x7 control room and deployed teams and volunteers to hospitals and accident sites while coordinating with Saudi authorities.
