Unable To Repay Loans, Young Farmer Commits Suicide

A 25-year-old farmer allegedly committed suicide because he was unable to repay loan of Rs 1.5 lakh at Bhagwanpur village of Uttar Pradesh's Meerut district. Vikas committed suicide by consuming cyanide. Vikas's brother claimed he committed suicide because he was unable to repay loans to two banks and had received a notice on May 20 in this regard. He said Vikas was depressed after he received the notice and consumed poison at his tubewell.
