Shops and other commercial establishments, barring those engaged in selling essential items, remained closed in Mumbai. Several shops and establishments across the state remained shut in solidarity with the bandh, including Pune’s APMC and Nashik’s onion trading market, Lasalgaon.
Most of the black-yellow cabs and auto-rickshaws were off roads in the metropolis, as per transport union leaders.
