Aero India is a biennial event. It was first held at Yelahanka Air Force Station, Bengaluru, in 1996.
The Aero India 2025 will be held between February 10th and 14th February 2025.
The event is set to be the biggest-ever Aero India till date.
With the broad theme of 'The Runway to a Billion Opportunities', the extravaganza will be a display of India's aerial prowess.
The event is in line with 'Aatmanirbhar Bharat' and 'Make in India, Make for the World' vision, providing a stage to strengthen international collaboration.
Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister D K Shivakumar, Chief of Defence Staff, tri-service chief, among others participated in the inaugural event.
Organised with a confirmed participation of over 900 exhibitors, including 150 foreign companies.
With the potential to fast-track the indigenisation process by drawing in foreign collaborators, the event pushes the union government's resolve of making the country Viksit Bharat by 2047.
February 10th to 12th have been reserved as business days. February 13th and 14th will be public days for people to witness the show.
The event comprises Defence Ministers' Conclave; CEOs Roundtable; Samarthya Indigenisation event; a Valedictory function; seminars; airshows, and an exhibition of aerospace companies.
The event will also feature the inauguration of Innovations for Defence Excellence (iDEX Pavilions) and Manthan iDEX event.
According to a Defence Ministry statement, the exhibition spread over 42,000 sq m.
Rajnath Singh told the Defence Ministers, senior officials and representatives of foreign Original Equipment Manufacturers present on the occasion that their cooperation with India is vital for global peace and stability.
The air show also featured India's indigenously developed single-engine multirole fighter, HAL Tejas.
"India has never attacked any country nor has it been involved in any great power rivalry. We have always been an advocate of peace and stability. It is part of our fundamental ideals," Rajnath Singh said at the event.
Rajnath Singh on Sunday had said that the participation of 90-plus countries as a testament to the growing global confidence in India's aerospace and defence capabilities.

35 OEMs were Indian private companies like Adani Defence and Mahindra Defence. 16 OEMs were Defence Public Sector Undertakings.
