The bond between Sheikh Hasina and the Gandhi family dates back to the relationship between their predecessors. Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, Hasina's father and the founding leader of Bangladesh, shared a cordial relationship with Indira Gandhi, the then Prime Minister of India. (ANI)
