Congress leaders including — Manmohan Singh, Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi, Ghulam Nabi Azad, MP CM Kamal Nath, Ahmed Patel and Anand Sharma — gathered at the Raj Ghat, Mahatama Gandhi's memorial, to protest against the amended Citizenship Act and the impending NRC.
The Congress said there is widespread resentment against the recent actions of the BJP government, where people across the country, especially the youth, are demanding the restoration and maintaining the sanctity of rights guaranteed by the Constitution.
