The actor, who passed away at the age of 67, was admitted to the hospital earlier this month. Tom Alter made his big screen debut in 1976 with a small role in Dharmendra-starrer Charas but found his fame among the television audiences with his character in the TV series Zabaan Sambhalke (1993-1997).
