Tanaaz Irani: I feel women have enough opportunities to feel empowered because if we are using the term empowerment, it is relevant to a very niche portion of our society. What our country desperately needs is not empowerment of the woman but respect for the woman by others and mostly for herself! When women are respected by others and she doesn't short sell herself forgetting how previous she is that's when we should celebrate. Wishing all the women a happy women's day in my country
Mugdha Chapekar : I feel instead of celebrating Women’s day once a year and just talk about empowering women one should put these thoughts into practice. It is important to focus on the education of women. Man and woman are God's creations. No one among them is above the other. They are already equal. Wishing all the ladies a very happy women’s day.
Sudipa Singh: It's a day to celebrate women empowerment because in today's time women are not less than men. She is succeeding in every field you name it and she has her participation. I guess I would like to see more educated woman in our country so they can take their decisions on their own. She should be free to go out and get educated, so she can freely ask for her rights and get be fooled by others.
Aditi Sajwan: On International Womens day, we celebrate and recognise the efforts, success and an achievement of women in all walks of life, whether it is business, working class, politics, or home management. I consider my mother to be the biggest role model in my life. I think it's true for most of the people as a mother shapes, influence and builds our lives. A woman plays myriad roles in her lives be it a mother daughter wife but she is foremost a woman and should be respected and treated with equality. Today, we say women are important to the world but gender parity is not prevalent at all .We might be highly educated, more qualified, equally deserving, but will always be paid less than our male counterparts. Where's the equality here? Hopefully, someday this situation will also change. But the biggest change which is required is to curb and completely stop all crimes against women, to make strict laws to deal with rapes, dowry deaths, genocide, harassment and domestic violence. In a country like India where these crimes are countless and unaccounted for, until n unless the mental fabric of the society changes and improves for women, we're still living in the dark ages and women day is inconsequential.
Krishna Gokani : The power of women comes not from the strength of her body or the shrewdness of her resolve, but in the beauty of her heart, her mind and her soul. A simple look can brighten the darkest hour. Her touch can warm the coldest of days. Her smile can intoxicate you. Chandni Bhagwanani : Women are competing with men in every field and there is no space that is male-oriented any more. For me, Women's Day is a representation of the equality that a woman enjoys today in an otherwise man dominated world.
