Comedy Nights Bachao went off air only to return as Comedy Nights Bachao Taaza which is set to premiere tonight. The way its cast members Anita Hasnandani and Karan Wahi bid farewell to the sets, has hinted that the show is set for a major revamp. While the entire old team has been replaced with new faces, the format of the show is also undergoing a change. Now, even the celebs will roast the actors, but in a much softer way. Remember we told you that Akshay Kumar refused to come and promote his Rustom due to the roast element of its first season? Even superstar Amitabh Bachchan has refused to become a guest so far. But the makers are now looking to get all those whom they couldn't get before.
The original hosts Krushna Abhishek and Bharti Singh are being replaced by Mona Singh. We saw the level of camaraderie Krushna and Bharti had as the show’s hosts, but with them handling Bachao and Comedy Nights Live simultaneously, it was getting difficult for the duo. But Krushna and Bharti are the only two faces from the previous cast who have been retained. Now they will perform gags along with other actors. Mona has earlier hosted Entertainment Ke Liye Kuch Bhi Karega with Krushna, who said he was confident at Mona's skills at doing it single-handedly.
Marathi actress Amruta Khanvilkar will be seen doing comedy on the small screen for the first time. We hear she is paired with stand-up comedian Manan Desai. According to Amruta, shooting the show is super fun in itself. So it is no guess that the audience will have bigger fun.
Aditi Bhatia from Yeh Hai Mohabbatein is also joining the team. She is new to doing comedy, but considering she will mostly be performing with Krushna and Sudesh Lehri, we are sure her comic timing will only improve.
Nia Sharma is giving comedy a shot for the first time. And she is paired with stand-up comedian Balraj Syal and actor Ssharad Malhotra. One of the most renowned television actors, Ssharad is also a fresher in the comic genre. And by the looks of it all three will be roasting each other more, than the guests!
Sumeet Vyas has made a mark for himself in the world of webseries. Hence, calling him the poster boy of the internet won't be wrong. Now Sumeet will test his comic skills on the television too. We don't doubt the talent of the Permanent Roommates actor. he will be performing with Bharti.
He is already a social media entertainer. Now Ssumier Pasricha aka Pammi Aunty will be putting his best acts up in Comedy nights Bachao Taaza too. Wonder how he looks like in real life, behind those big pink glasses and salwar-kameez.
Gujarati stand-up Mayank has also been roped in to tickle the funny bones of the audience. Comedy Nights Bachao Taaza will begin from tonight on Colors, at 10 in the night. Stay tuned!
