Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt's divorce has come as the saddest news for their massive fan base. After 12 years of being together and two years of marriage, Jolie filed for divorce from her husband on Monday (September 19). She was allegedly unhappy with the way Pitt was discharging his parental duties. Brangelina were seen together in their movie By The Sea, which tells the tale of an unhappily married couple, and that probably will be their last film together. The couple also has a strong connect in India with a large fan base. They were here with their brood for shooting A Mighty Heart in the year 2006. They shot some of the portions of the film in Pune, which had created a fan frenzy at that time. The movie also starred Irrfan Khan in a prominent role. And now, Brangelina are definitely parting ways by announcing their divorce publicly.

According to sources, Jolie filed for a divorce on Monday by submitting legal documents in the court for the same. It is also heard that Jolie has asked for the physical custody of all their six children, with Pitt only getting visitation rights and a joint legal custody. This hints at the fact that Jolie was allegedly unhappy with the way Pitt was discharging his parental duties, with rumours of anger issues and substance abuse doing the rounds. Earlier, there were reports that the couple was contemplating a divorce due to a ‘third person’ in their relationship. Many were holding Pitt’s rumored affair with actress Marion Cotillard as the cause of the potential split. A few days back, there were also reports about Pitt’s increasing interest in actress Gwyneth Paltrow, which turned out to be false. We also hear that Jolie has asked for no spousal support. Pitt and Jolie got married in August 2014, after being a couple for a decade. Ironically, Pitt’s earlier divorce with actress Jennifer Aniston was allegedly due to children. Madame Tussauds has separated the wax statues of Hollywood’s former power couple Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt after the actress filed for divorce. Following the split, Jolie’s wax figure is placed next to actress Nicole Kidman’s statue, and Pitt’s figure is positioned close to Morgan Freeman’s.
