The Congress party has released the names of all 199 candidates for the upcoming Rajasthan Assembly elections, after much delay in its first list of names. The elections will be held on November 25 (Saturday), and the counting will take place on December 3 (Sunday).
Heavyweights such as Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, his rival and ex-Deputy CM Sachin Pilot, Assembly Speaker C P Joshi, and state president Govind Singh Dotasra figured on the first list. Gehlot will contest from his sitting constituency of Sardarpura, as will Pilot from his constituency Tonk, Dotasra from Laxmangarh, and Speaker CP Joshi from Nathdwara.
