The sky above the temple in Robbinsville lit up with fireworks as the community gathered on the occasion Diwali, which also marked their New Year.

Sharing a video on X, Akshardham USA wrote: “As fireworks filled the air at BAPS Swaminarayan Akshardham, the community came together to celebrate Diwali and welcome Nutan Varsh (New Year), carrying with them the joy of the festival and the hope of a new beginning.”

Meanwhile in India, ‘Bahipujan’ was performed at the Swaminarayan Akshardham temple in Delhi on Monday. Speaking to ANI, Dr Madhvi Gohel, a member of BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha, said, “Today, the grand festival of Diwali is being celebrated here. Today, with the intention of wishing the traders profit and prosperity in their business and receiving auspicious blessings of Goddess Lakshmi, Bahipujan was also performed.”
