Over 800 million people are being given food grains free of cost. 550 million people are benefiting from the world’s biggest health insurance scheme.”
PM Modi also shared photos of his discussions with UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres and Singapore’s Prime Minister Lawrence Wong.
He thanked Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva for the warm welcome, saying on X, “Looking forward to the proceedings at the G20 Summit in Rio de Janeiro. Thankful to President Lula for the warm welcome.”
During the Summit, the Prime Minister will present India’s stance on key global issues and build upon the outcomes of the G20 New Delhi Leaders’ Declaration and the Voice of the Global South Summits that India hosted in the past two years.
The G20 Summit brought together leaders from major economies to discuss trade, climate change, and security. This year’s theme under Brazil’s presidency is ‘Building a Just World and a Sustainable Planet’, focusing on reducing poverty, promoting social inclusion, and reforming global governance systems.
