Prime Minister Narendra Modi met with US President Donald Trump in Washington today, marking a significant moment in India-US relations. This meeting was particularly notable as PM Modi is one of the first world leaders to visit the US since Trump’s re-election.

Trump set a positive tone for the meeting, expressing his expectation of “wonderful trade deals” despite his reputation for imposing tariffs on both allies and adversaries.

PM Modi clarified India’s stance on the Russia-Ukraine conflict during his bilateral meeting with US President Donald Trump at the White House. When questioned by reporters what is the stand of India on the ongoing Russia-Ukraine war,  PM Modi responded, “India is not neutral in this war, but India stands with peace.”
