The US President Joe Biden has chided the former President Donald Trump and told him to “get a life man” and try to help people affected with a pair of successive hurricanes in the United States rather than spreading misinformation about the federal response.

Speaking at the White House on the administration’s work to address the devastation made by Hurricane Helene and Milton, President Biden criticised the Republican candidate by condemning the “reckless, irresponsible and relentless disinformation and outright lies that continue to flow,” as reported by news agency Associated Press.

President Biden and the White House has been decrying Trump by calling out his lies regarding the disaster response by the Biden administration, including that federal funding is being diverted for use on people in the country illegally and that the assistance provided by the federal government is $750.

While addressing the media, Biden explained that the $750 amount is an initial capital needed to cover urgent requirements like food, diapers and baby formula.

“That $750 that they’re talking about, Mr. Trump and all those other people know it’s a lie to suggest that’s all they’re going to get,” Biden said. “It’s just bizarre. They got to stop this. They’re being so damn un-American with the way they’re talking about this stuff,” Biden added as reported by AP.

The Hurricane Milton, which was earlier labeled as Category 5 hurricane, shrinked the level of devastation while landing in Florida on Wednesday and struck the state as a Category 3 hurricane. According to latest reports, six people lost their lives in the disaster and millions remain in the dark.
