A video of a bull seeking shelter in a cafe in Uttarakhand’s Naukuchiatal has surfaced on the Internet, raising concerns about stray animals during heavy rainfall.
The viral clip shows the bull standing at the cafe’s entrance, blocking two customers waiting for the animal to move out. As the video moves forward, the cafe manager enters the scene with an umbrella attempting to shoo away the bull, who charges at her. However, she escapes unharmed.
Sharing the video on X, journalist Piyush Rai wrote, “About last evening in Naukuchiatal in Uttarakhand. A bull taking shelter in a cafe charged at a the manager trying to clear the entrance. Fortunately, she escaped unhurt. Stray cattle is menace everywhere.”

With more than 23,000 views, the video accumulated several reactions with a user saying, “This is what people wanted.” Another user commented, “I love cows and have two at home but we need to fix the issue almost had two accident in last week due to cow suddenly start running and changing direction. Applying hard brakes in rainy season will cause skiding on my scooty so it has become more dangerous in this season.”
“Was she out of mind? Through (throw) water at cattle when you want it to move. It works,” a third user reacted.
Heavy rain hit Uttarakhand’s Haridwar on Saturday afternoon, causing the Sukhi river to flood and wash away several vehicles. The monsoon began in the state on June 27 following which the India Meteorological Department (IMD) predicted intense rainfall across the state till July 4.
