A video of a woman performing a risky bike stunt on the streets of Pune has triggered outrage on social media. The viral video shows the woman riding a Yamaha RX100 hands-free.
Sporting a yellow T-shirt, black pants and sunglasses, the woman can be seen making hand gestures and performing Sunil Shetty’s popular song ‘Aankhon Mein Base Ho Tum’. She pulls out a rose from the bike’s handlebar and shows it off to the camera as she performs the hands-free stunt near the Hadapsar area.
Sharing the video, an X handle @pulse_pune wrote, “Viral Video from #Pune, the rise in bike stunts for social media fame is alarming. Risking lives for likes isn’t worth it. Recently, a girl was seen doing a stunt in #Hadapsar. If unchecked, these dangerous acts could lead to fatal accidents. Authorities must take swift action to ensure safety. Let’s #StopStunts and #StaySafe.”

Shared on June 16, the video amassed more than 27,000 views as many social media users slammed the woman. Reacting to it, a user wrote, “Pune two wheelers are the worst. Never wear a helmet and drive in a zig zag fashion.” Another user commented, “What action will be taken against this girl? Ask her to WRITE an ESSAY of riding bike sitting oneside on it?”
“The youth of today have lots of skills, but not enough correct ways to express themselves. They need healthy outlets for it. There should be places for them to perform their stunts without risking their or others lives. The police and RTO should act in the strictest way possible,” a third user reacted.
Last month, a video of a man performing a dangerous bike stunt in Bihar’s Samastipur received criticism. The video showed the man standing on a bike for an Instagram reel. Soon after the video went viral, Samastipur police imposed a fine on the man under multiple sections of the Motor Vehicles Act.
