“If you yourself are not comfortable about your body, do something about it. If you are comfortable, let it be. Other people have no right to comment anyway,” said Parineeti Chopra earlier this year right after she stunned people with her new ‘fit’ avatar. Chopra who claimed to have been body shamed a number of times after she joined the industry also admitted, in an interview with the IndianExpress.com that she is a foodie and if she wants to eat a piece of cake, there’s no stopping her.
But guess what? A video of her has surfaced online wherein the actor can be seen giving a ‘friendly advice’ to someone saying, “eat less, become thin” while wishing the friend on her birthday. She is the same woman who has spoken at length about being okay with one’s body type and well, now is being accused of body shaming her own friend, something she’s fought herself for a very long time.
In the video which is captured by Chopra herself while travelling with Alia Bhat, the two seem to be wishing a friend a happy birthday. When Alia Bhat asks the actress if she has another message for the friend, Chopra advises the friend to lose weight.

People on social media didn’t take her message very well, especially when it came from an actor who has faced and spoken against body shaming.
