A familiar theme in Bollywood movies from the last century was families getting separated at the Kumbh Mela, only to be reunited later. While such dramatic moments are rare on the big screen today, real-life stories continue to unfold.
Recently, an elderly man attending the Mahakumbh in Uttar Pradesh’s Prayagraj, shared how his wife managed to get lost three times during their visit. The now-viral video has him laughing and saying, “My wife went missing three times, and each time the police helped us locate her.”
He said his wife disappeared when he went to take a dip in the Ganga. “Each time, the police brought her back within half an hour. I thought that somehow I would escape, but every time she came back,” he said, leaving viewers in stitches.

The video went viral with over three lakh views. Reacting to it, one user commented, “Uncle, you won’t get rid of her so easily; you’ll be together for seven lifetimes.”
Another user said, “Loved it. Mata ji ko malum na pad jaye ki , Babuji aisa kah rahe hai (Hope Mata ji doesn’t find out that Babuji is saying this!)”
