Modern relationships often unfold in a whirlwind of Insta-worthy photos, reels, and a craving for instant gratification, sometimes ending in silence and unread messages. Breakups today are rarely straightforward, and one such incident has the Internet in stitches.

A post currently making the rounds on social media shows a screenshot shared by an X user named Divya, whose ex-boyfriend demanded a refund for the snacks he had sent her during their relationship. The now-viral message includes itemised bills for several snack orders placed via a quick commerce platform.

“Hey! Sun, now that this is over I want refund for everything that I sent you jab hum relationship mein the (when we were in a relationship),” the message from Divya’s ex read.

The post quickly gained traction, garnering over eight lakh views. While many social media users found the situation amusing, some took the man’s side. “Kept the receipts and all. What a legend. This gonna be the male equivalent of the FBI investigation women carry out when they wanna find out if he’s cheating or not,” a user wrote. “Did you date him for snacks? If so, he has a point,” another user commented.

Others, however, leaned into the humour. “Since the snacks would have now converted into crap, send him a package,” a third user reacted. One user shared the iconic Babu Rao meme from Phir Hera Pheri, saying, “Idhar zeher khane ke paise nahi hai” (We don’t even have money for poison.)

“Help Divya in fundraising to pay back her ex boyfriend,” a fifth user commented.
