The spotlight shifted from serious politics to light-hearted celebrations as former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and his wife, Sunita Kejriwal, grooved to the popular song from Pushpa 2: The Rule at the engagement ceremony of their daughter Harshita Kejriwal.
Aam Aadmi Party chief Arvind Kejriwal, typically known for his serious political image, delighted guests as the couple danced to ‘Angaro ka ambar sa’ from the Allu Arjun-starrer blockbuster, and their energetic performance quickly went viral. The joyous moment, set against the backdrop of the event in Delhi, was shared by many online.
The engagement celebration was held at the luxurious Shangri-La Eros Hotel in Delhi on April 17.
The festivities only got more exciting when Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann joined in, adding some energetic bhangra steps, accompanied by the beats of the dhol. The guests couldn’t get enough of the lively celebration.
On April 18, Harshita Kejriwal wedded her college friend, Sambhav Jain, at Kapurthala House in Delhi, the Punjab chief minister’s official residence when in the capital. The wedding saw the presence of some well-known figures, including singer Mika Singh, who congratulated the newlyweds.
Harshita and Sambhav’s love story began at IIT Delhi, where they met while pursuing their studies. Harshita studied Chemical Engineering, while Sambhav, now a project management consultant, is co-founder of a healthcare startup, Basil Health. Harshita has a younger brother, Pulkit, who is also studying at IIT Delhi. After graduating in 2018, Harshita started her career with Boston Consulting Group (BCG) in Gurgaon as an Associate Consultant.
