Business tycoon Anand Mahindra, popular for sharing inspirational videos, shared his Monday motivation on X. This week, Mahindra shared a video of Johanna Quaas, the world’s oldest gymnast, as his motivation.
The video shows Quaas, 98, immaculately performing gymnastics at an event. Sharing the video, Mahindra wrote, “98 years old. That’s right—Johanna Quaas is 98. Never say die. She’s my #MondayMotivation”

The video amassed over 37,000 views and several reactions with one saying, “Someone rightly said that Age is just a number.” Another user wrote, “Yes, indeed your post comes with many inspiring stories which inspire us very positively.”
“Never say old enough to do anything. Age should never be an excuse or barrier to achieve best goals,” the third user reacted.
Born on November 20, 1925, Johanna Quaas took part in her first competition at 10. In 2012, Quaas was awarded the record for the oldest gymnast and was still a regular competitor in the amateur competition Landes-Seniorenspiele.
According to a report in Bright Sight, Quaas follows a healthy diet that includes plenty of greens. Despite performing gymnastics twice a week, she exercises for an hour every day, usually taking a walk or a swim. “I have no health worries at all. My body is trained to the point I can do all these exercises and movements comfortably,” she said.
While she spent most of her life as a gymnastics coach and handball player, she returned to active gymnastics at 56. In 2015, she received the Nadia Comăneci Sportsmanship Award from the International Gymnastics Hall of Fame, before retiring from competition in 2018 followed by a torn biceps tendon.
