Industrialist Anand Mahindra celebrated Indian Grandmaster D Gukesh’s historic victory — after the 18-year-old defeated reigning World Chess Champion Ding Liren in the 14th game of the World Chess Championship on December 12 in Singapore — with a post on X.
To mark this incredible achievement, Mahindra shared a video of Gukesh, dancing to Rajinikanth’s hit song Manasilayo. Mahindra, in his post, expressed the nation’s joy, writing, “All of India is dancing with you at this very moment @DGukesh.”

The video has amassed over a million views, with many users leaving comments on the post.

Numerous users even requested Mahindra to gift Gukesh a Mahindra car as a reward for the accomplishment.

At the age of 18, Gukesh made history by becoming the second Indian, after Viswanathan Anand, to claim the prestigious chess world championship title. In doing so, he surpassed the legendary Garry Kasparov, who had held the record as the youngest world chess champion, winning the title at 22 in 1985.
