Heartfelt tributes honouring Ratan Tata, legendary industrialist and philanthropist, flooded social media following his passing. After a brief illness, the 86-year-old chairman emeritus of Tata Sons passed away in Mumbai on Wednesday night.
One of the many stories that have gone viral was posted by Captain Zoya Agarwal, who claimed that her encounter with Ratan Tata had a “deep impact” on her.
Agarwal shared a memorable encounter with Tata on her Instagram about the time she flew him on a flight from New York to Delhi. After landing, she asked if they could take a picture together. Ratan Tata graciously agreed, but just as she was about to stand up, he gently stopped her, saying, “Captain, this is your throne. You’ve earned it.” He then stood behind her for the photo, a gesture of humility that deeply moved her.
