Most Expensive Main Streets Across the World in 2025 List: Despite geopolitical and macroeconomic challenges, international tourism has rebounded, resulting in a global average rental growth of 4.2 per cent on main streets.

London’s New Bond Street, notably, for the first time, led and claimed the title of the most expensive high street destination, according to the latest Cushman & Wakefield’s Main Streets Across the World 2025 report published on Wednesday.

Priced at an annual rental value of $2,231 per square metre, New Bond Street has ascended from last year’s third position, overtaking both Milan’s Via Montenapoleone and New York’s Upper Fifth Avenue, which rank second and third, respectively, this year.

This advancement is due to the 22 per cent rental growth witnessed over the past year.

Three Asian high streets also secured places in the top 10 — Tsim Sha Tsui in Hong Kong, Ginza in Tokyo, and Myeongdong in Seoul.

While the list largely remains the same, it is notable to mention that Ginza’s robust rental increase of 10 per cent has led it to inch closer and narrow its gap from Champs-Élysées in Paris, which presently ranks fifth globally.

Dubai Mall’s Fashion Avenue is the only Middle Eastern entry on the list, ranking 11th globally in 2025, with a 9 per cent year-over-year increase.

Meanwhile, growth in the Asia-Pacific region slowed, edging up by just 2 per cent.
