Popular ride-hailing app Uber enables users to rent a car for a short city trip or even for an extended weekend getaway. Unlike getting a regular cab, where there might not be proper billing, Uber offers a detailed bill, for both personal auditing and to submit to an office for reimbursement.
If you are someone who frequently takes cabs, then Uber is a good platform to use, which can easily help you track the money spent on rides. If you take cabs for business purposes, these bills can also be used to showcase business expenses. On top of that, it’s also much easier to make payments to Uber, which accepts both digital payments such as UPI, credit, and debit cards, or you can also pay using cash. Uber issues the receipt in PDF format, making it difficult to tamper with.
Getting a receipt for a completed ride on Uber is a straightforward process, especially if you have the Uber app installed on your smartphone, which could be an Android or an iOS device.
1. Open the Uber app on your phone.
2. Go to ‘Activity’ and select the ride you would like to get the receipt for.
3. Click on the specific ride and select the ‘receipt’ button, which will show all the details of the trip, including a breakdown of the bill and payment mode. This can be quickly downloaded from the same page.
4. To get this receipt via email, click on the ‘resend email’ button. Do note that, on the app, you can only share the receipt with the registered email ID. Once received in the email, it can be shared with anyone else.
