Viv is a new smart assistant from Siri creators which tries to help users hail a cab or order food

Viv, the next virtual assistant from two of Siri’s founders is set to be unveiled to the world on Monday, reports The Washington Post.

In order to achieve this, Viv has tied up with third party services like GrubHub, Uber among 50 others. With these integration, Viv essentially tries to help users hail a cab or order food.

Lately, Amazon has been expanding the abilities of its Alexa virtual assistant by making its APIs available to third party developers. On the other hand, Facebook has its own virtual assistant named M and has announced its own chatbot platform similar.

The Washington Post further notes, Viv has already received offers from Google and Facebook. Viv is not just aiming to build a smart personal assistant but rather an ecosystem of AI driven tools that mediates businesses and their customers.
