
LAVA launched its flagship smartphone, the LAVA AGNI 4, on November 20. The AGNI 4 is priced at an introductory rate of Rs 22,999, and the device features a MediaTek Dimensity 8300 chipset and boasts a 50MP camera on both front and rear cameras.
This device will be exclusively available on Amazon, with sales commencing at 12 noon on November 25. Consumers can choose between two appealing finishes: Phantom Black and Lunar Mist.
AGNI 4 introduces Vayu AI, a new intelligent companion that enhances human-AI interaction on the home screen. LAVA adds that it supports natural, conversational learning and system control through voice commands. It is claimed that it is tailored for Indian users. The device includes various AI agents such as an AI Math Teacher, AI English Teacher, AI emotional companions, AI Horoscope, AI Text Assistant, AI Call Summary, AI Photo Editor, AI Image Generator, and AI Document Analyser. They add that with advanced voice and visual intelligence, Vayu AI makes the AGNI 4 a smarter, more intuitive device that learns and adapts to individual users.
The MediaTek Dimensity 8350 processor, fabricated on a 4nm architecture and capable of clock speeds up to 3.35GHz, powers the AGNI 4 device, achieving impressive performance metrics with over 1.4 million points on AnTuTu (V10). Complemented by 8GB RAM and 256 GB storage, it is expandable to 16 GB of RAM. For thermal conductivity, the device features a 4300mm VC Liquid Cooling System, and it also has a Game Booster Mode.
AGNI 4 is equipped with a 6.67-inch 1.5K AMOLED display, boasting a smooth 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 2400 nits. On the rear side, the smartphone by LAVA features a 50MP main camera with Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS) and an 8MP ultra-wide lens, further with intelligent scene and skin-tone optimisation features. The front camera also offers a 50MP lens for selfies, while both the front and rear cameras support 4K video recording at 60FPS. Additional video capabilities are dual-view video mode and Dynamic Contrast Gain (DCG).
The device is powered by a 5000mAh battery, with up to 14 hours of video playback. The AGNI 4 comes with a 66W fast charging technology, and the device can charge from 0 to 50 per cent in under 19 minutes.
LAVA claims that it is made with a super anti-drop diamond frame. The AGNI 4 also boasts an IP64 rating for water and dust resistance, reinforced by Corning Gorilla Glass for added protection, alongside Wet Touch Control for usability in various conditions often experienced in India. Users can enjoy a customizable Action Key, allowing for over 100 shortcut combinations for a more personalised experience.
AGNI 4 operates on Stock Android 15, presenting a clean interface devoid of bloatware, and ensures users benefit from three years of Android upgrades and four years of security updates, enhancing the longevity and security of the device.
